NPWW Award

The following criteria will apply to the award:

  • The award is open to any Manitoba Municipalities
  • All submissions must include the following selection criteria:
  • Public Outreach – What variety of people were informed?
    • Education – Was there an educational component?
    • Events – What creativity was used for the event?
    • Staff Involvement – Was there a considerable involvement of Public Works staff?
    • Political Involvement – Was a significant political presence involved in the Public Works Week activities?
  • An individual member or municipality can make a nomination, and submissions are limited to 10 pages, not including the nomination form.
  • The deadline for submission is June 7, 2024
  • The winner will be presented with a plaque at the AGM, and winners will be featured on the CPWA Manitoba Chapter website.

All submissions are to be submitted electronically.
This form must accompany all documentation supporting the purpose and eligibility of the award.
Supporting documents include but are not limited to letters of support, community and volunteer roles, project descriptions and photos of project/event, etc.

Manitoba Chapter Past President’s Scholarship Award

The Manitoba Public Works Association offers the award of a $1,000.00 Scholarship for The Past President’s Scholarship will be awarded annually to a son, daughter or family member of an CPWA member. This Scholarship will be an ‘entrance level’ scholarship.

Scholarship to be awarded at the Chapter’s AGM

The following criteria will apply to the award of this Scholarship:

  • The Scholarship is open to any CPWA Manitoba Chapter member’s child enrolled in a two (2) year minimum course program at any Canadian University or a recognized institute of applied science and technology in Canada.
  • All submissions must include the following: a copy of the applicant’s birth certificate; notice of acceptance into an educational institution; an official transcript from the university or institute; and a brief listing of applicants’ interests, activities and accomplishments.
  • All submissions must be forwarded to: Name, CPWA Manitoba Chapter Administrator, Email to: mb.cpwa@gmail.com
  • The deadline for submission for the 2024-2025 Academic Year is June 7, 2024

Civil Engineering Tech Entrance Award

Canadian Public Works Association (CPWA) Civil Engineering Tech Entrance Award

General RRC Polytech Application Required

The Canadian Public Works Association Manitoba Chapter Civil Engineering Technology Entrance Award, valued at $1000.00, is available to first-year Civil Engineering Technology students. Selection will be based on financial need.

To be considered, students should submit a completed application form by the deadline date of September 30, 2024. Completed applications should be submitted by email to financialaid@rrc.ca.

Municipal Engineering Technology Award

General RRC Polytech Application Required

The Canadian Public Works Association Manitoba Chapter Municipal Engineering Technology Award, valued at $1000.00, is available to third-year Municipal Engineering Technology students. To be eligible for consideration, students should submit an application form accompanied by a short statement describing their desire to pursue a career in public works. Selection will be based on this statement content as well as financial need.

Deadline for applications is the first Friday in November. Completed applications should be submitted by email to financialaid@rrc.ca.
