Community over 25,000 Award:  City of Winnipeg

Winner:     MB Chapter Award

We would like to extend our Congratulations to the City of Winnipeg Public Works Department for holding their public works event on Thursday May 23rd at Kildonan Park.

The City of Winnipeg held their first event after a long hiatus and it was welcomed back by young and old alike.

The city’s public works day is one of the oldest in the province and has been the largest to date.  Children who used to go to it, now have grown and have children of their own that visited with their school group.

Many dedicated city staff were on hand to answer questions, hand out snacks, and let the students sit in the equipment, giving them an inside look at what public works does for them and the community.

Thank you and Congratulations to the City of Winnipeg on a great event!
